Camping Trip

Took the girls camping this week.  Among the wildlife we saw, (besides the too-numerous-to-count daddy long legs constantly trying to get into the tent) a deer walked into our campsite right after we had set up, a katydid found it's way into our tent, and we found a walking stick by the water pump!  Even the youngest decided to hold the walking stick, which rather surprised me!  The activities we enjoyed included a scavenger hunt hike, leaf rubbings, throwing rocks in the river, octopus hotdogs, and a marshmallow roast.  Fun memories!

3 month Baby K

I am in L.O.V.E. with the gorgeous big brown eyes on this little lady!  Such a serious little girl, we managed to catch a couple quick giggles, and she showed us that even princesses can stick out their tongues at the cameras!

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Baby K, and I'm looking forward to seeing how much she's changed three months from now!  I had a hard time picking out my usual half dozen or so favorites for your sneak peek, so I threw in a few extras!  :)

6 month Little W

The last time I posted photos of this little guy, he was three months old.  Now, three months later, he's still cute as a button and full of giggles and smiles, despite not taking his usual nap before I arrived!

The naked little baby photos are always fun to get at this age, but there is always a risk to the photographer of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when nature calls.  Luckily I'm washable!!  :o)))

We headed outside for a few more photos before the sleepies finally caught up with him, then called it a day and went back inside for his cuddle and story before his much overdue nap.  It is such a joy to watch you grow, little W, and I look forward to seeing how much you've grown the next time I see you!

N Family

Here's a session with one of my favorite families!  The session was supposed to focus on little N's 3rd birthday with a "few" family photos, but I'm afraid I took more family photos than birthday photos!  Sorry N!

I love the silliness of each of them.  Although it takes some work to get everyone to look towards the camera all at the same time, (have YOU ever tried balancing an acorn on the top of YOUR head while taking a photo??) the love in this family is so apparent.

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, N family (which is posted well before midnight, by the way!) LOL

6 month Miss N

What do you get when you put chubby little baby arms, a tutu, and pearls together?  One seriously CUTE little girl!  This was such a fun session!  I last saw Miss N when she was just three months old, and it's always so much fun to see how much they've changed in such a short amount of time!

I have to admit that I did "borrow" the backside photo idea from a photograph I saw online, unfortunately I can no longer remember the name of the photographer to give credit to!  I did have to have one quick shutter finger tho, as Miss N kept toppling over!  :)

We headed out to the nearby park for the rest of the session, where we "braved the wildlife" (gnats, 8-legged creepy crawlies and grasshoppers!)  I'm just hoping I left them all there after shaking out my blankets, and that nothing hitched a ride home with me!

Thanks for the great session and the even better homemade chocolate chip cookies!! :)))

Shadow and Patches

This weekend we had fun taking care of three of our favorite furry friends.  Aren't they gorgeous?  Pumpkin will get his turn in front of the camera next time!

Newborn Baby E

Meet the beautiful 13 day old Miss E.  She was such a sweetheart - I really enjoyed photographing her!  Notice the cute little button flower headband she's wearing in the basket photo... it was handmade for Miss E by the mom of the twins I recently photographed.  I love it!
