3 month baby S

I enjoyed spending the morning with this little sweetheart and her family.  She's still as cute as she was when I last saw her as a newborn!

3 month Baby G

I love when my clients have a special heirloom item that they want to use in their photos.  In this case, it was this absolutely gorgeous baptismal gown.  It has been in the family for over 50 years, and has the name and birth date of each child embroidered on the lace hem.  Oh my goodness all the love that has gone into that over the years!  I knew we had to make those photos as precious as the gown.  I love the super sweet sleepy photos we took in their amazing garden (yes, I'm envious!) while the family dog stood watch, as well.  Sweet dreams, little girl.

And I can't forget about my awesome little assistant, who waited so patiently for me to finish photographing his little sister so he could show me his super cool bike!  :)

Wolf Program

Another great program we went to tonight was on wolves, as well as coyotes and foxes, hosted by the Wildlife Service Center.  Although they didn't bring any live wolves to the program, they did have a variety of furs and skulls for us to touch and hold.  Currently there are only about 2,300 wolves in Minnesota.  Compare that to the deer population in Minnesota and it's next to nothing!

Joey, Service Horse

Today we went to a really interesting program at our local library featuring a unique service animal.  Joey, a miniature Shetland pony, is one of four therapy horses that this family owns.  Besides bringing cheer to people in hospitals and senior care centers, he is also a regular at libraries, listening while children read to him.  Joey is full grown and housebroken, loves children, and rides around in a mini van!  Hmm.... maybe I should try to convince Girl 1 that she'd rather have a miniature horse than a full size horse!  :)

Schwartau Family Reunion

I had the pleasure of photographing this group (all 72 of them!) at their family reunion this past weekend.  Everyone was so cooperative and organized, I have to say it was probably one of the easiest large groups I've photographed!  :)
