Pigtails at the Park

I don't know who had more fun yesterday, Miss A, giggling like crazy because I was chasing her around the park, or me giggling TRYING to chase her!




I was a little dissapointed at this one because it ended up being a bit blurry when I enlarged it, (trying to keep your camera steady to get that "perfect shot" while running backwards because your subject is charging at you excitedly to show you her dandelion IS rather difficult, especially when you're laughing at the same time!) :)

But I played around with it in PhotoShop and added some texture to it to help somewhat.

Blech! Dandelions don't taste so good!

Miss M is ONE! (almost)

Just a few days shy of her birthday, we took advantage of the nice afternoon weather after having had some pretty nasty overnight and morning thunderstorms to take Miss M's one year photos. I had picked up this cute rocking chair the day before too, and repainted it a cheery bright red, so couldn't wait to have her try it out!

And of course I couldn't leave without getting a shot of big brother with his prized bulldozer! :)

Before you know it, they'll be all grown up....

Lens Testing

A couple days ago I met up with a fellow photographer to try out a 50mm f1.4 lens she owns. I am considering purchasing one for myself and I wanted to take it for a "test drive" first. She was even nice enough to supply her adorable daughter as a model for me! After playing with it for a bit, I now SO want it this lens! I can see why all the reviews I've read about this lens are positive. It handles great. Thanks for letting me try it out, and thanks Miss M, for being a great model! Time to start saving my pennies.... LOL

Daycare Friends

Last week I had fun photographing a friend's daycare group. We went over to the park across the street and let the kids play while I chased after all ELEVEN them with my camera. They definitely have more energy than I do! LOL What a great group of kids! Thanks for letting me follow you around!

A Sad Loss

This weekend a very dear friend of mine lost her husband. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew him. A partial poem comes to mind that I would like to share in his memory. I apologize for not knowing the poet's name.

Remember Me

Do not shed tears when I have gone
but smile instead because I have lived.

Do not shut your eyes and pray to God that I'll come back
but open your eyes and see all that I have left behind.

I took some maternity photos for a wonderful friend this past weekend. I had so many favorites, it was hard to pick just a few to show here!

I'm so excited to meet the new arrival. Will it be a boy or girl? Anyone want to take a guess?

Wedding Congratulations

A dear friend of the family got married this last weekend. During the cake cutting, several guests were standing behind the wedding photographer taking their own photos, including this adorable little photographer-to-be. I happened to look down just at the right moment and knew I just HAD to get this shot!

The cake and flowers were gorgeous....
