Baby C

I love when I get to meet new families and new babies.  This beautiful family was so much fun to work with, and Baby C was absolutely adorable.  Only a month new, he was a joy to photograph, and when he finally drifted off to sleep, we even managed to capture a few precious smiles.  Thank you for sharing your family with me!

 

Baby N

This sweet little baby boy was wide awake and ready to model for me this morning.  He was such a good little sport about letting us try out a bunch of different outfits and poses, and his smiles and giggles were infectious!  I loved his ever-growing collection of teddy bears and the rocking chair in his room that once belonged to his great-great grandma.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Happy Spring!

Happy Spring!  Well, according to the calendar, at least!

The first day of spring on our little part of the map is supposed to be, well, spring-like!  Mild temps, melting snow, maybe a blade or two of green grass or a brightly colored crocus poking through the few melting patches of remaining snow.  Average daytime temperatures are supposed to be in the low to mid 40's.  This week last year was WAY above average with temps in the high 70's!  Today was way BELOW average, with a high of only 20 degrees but with a wind chill making it feel like single digit temps.

With snowdrifts in our yard still three feet deep in spots, there was no chance of seeing any signs of spring today, despite what the calendar says, so the girls and I decided to make our own spring!  With paper and markers and scissors, we created flowers and bees and butterflies and ladybugs.  A little bit of tape made our artwork come alive on our wall in a very spring-like manner!  (if you look closely, you'll even see the raindrops that girl #2 insisted the flowers needed!)

We may have snow and single digit temperatures outside tonite, but inside we have flowers blooming, bees buzzing, and butterflies fluttering!

3 month Baby M

I had the pleasure to meet this sweet little baby boy this morning.  I loved his thick hair and big dark eyes!  We used his mommy's christening blanket that she had been wrapped in when she was a baby for a few lovely shots, and then tried some really fun ones with a John Deere pedal tractor after he changed into a cute John Deere onsie!  A special thank you to the O. family kids for letting me borrow their tractor for this session!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Happy 1st, W!

So many first birthdays this month!  Here's another sweet little guy who just turned one and LOVES Sesame Street.  He was constantly on the go, and really made me work for these photos!  But it's a fun kind of work! :))  Happy birthday, W!

Little N is One

I had so much fun this morning photographing this little cutie!  Besides being her first birthday, it was also her first taste of a lollypop and her first taste of a birthday cake!   And as you can see, she loved both of them!  Happy first birthday, Miss N!

Mr C

This handsome young man just recently turned 7.  While I casually took his photos, he educated me all about dinosaurs and trucks, two of his favorite subjects.  And of course, I couldn't resist taking this cute photo of his little sister, too!  Happy birthday, C!

6 month Miss E

I had so much fun photographing this sweet girl this morning.  She was full of smiles and quite content to sit and play with her toes!  She had been "practicing" sitting up all week in preparation for her session!  :)  She has a very artistic family too - her mommy made her pink and purple flower headband, and her auntie made the oh-so-adorable letter blocks!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Happy Birthday to us!

It's hard to belive, but it's already been a year since I introduced you to these adorable twins.  She's rather serious, he's prone to giggle a bit more, but they're both as cute as can be!  And it won't be long before they have another baby to welcome into their family!  Happy birthday, B and H!

Little Miss L is One!

I had such a fun morning photographing this little lady!  Although it took more than a little coaxing and a few musical toys to get her to smile, when she did, it brightened up the whole room!  (and yes, I do still have that silly song in my head now, thank you!)  :)  She chose today to walk around on her hands and feet, something her mommy said she hadn't seen her do before.  The blue dress is one that her mommy wore when she turned one, and her big sister when she turned one too.  Putting each of their photos of them wearing it in a collage frame will make a really nice heirloom piece one day!  Enjoy your sneak peek!
